Day 11

Lindsey DenboComment

I got sick last night. Combine that with the lack of sleep (loud street below) and today made for a slow day. It's also important to note that it was pouring. Although, Brad claims it was sprinkling...heavily. Lol.

We blogged and planned in the room until noon. Then we went in search of food. Restaurants didn't open until one, though, so we found a bakery and had a croissant until one. Good thing too, I was getting drenched. For lunch, we walked across the street to a cafe.

San Sebastián honors siesta and, since I was so tired, we went back to the room after lunch. Brad left me so I could sleep and he walked around the city. However, I never got to falling asleep. I think I'm using ear plugs tonight. It's insane how loud it gets here...or maybe the windows and walls are just too thin. Who knows.

We went back out when he got back. It's a beautiful city. There are children everywhere. Kicking a ball, jumping rope, learning to ride a bike...they fill the streets. The adults are also very involved. It's fun to watch.

We ate dinner and came back pretty early (by ten. Lol); we have an early train tomorrow for the Olite castle. Super excited!
