Drive to LAX: Thank you mom and dad Denbo!!!
Flight: We landed in Copenhagen after a slight delay and a 10.5 hour flight. Note: this was my first time sleeping while sitting straight up and the flight was freezing. It's also cool to note that we flew over Greenland and Iceland.
Train to Copenhagen H: Our first attempt at figuring out public transportation in a foreign land wasn't that bad...I can say we made the train. 20 minutes later...
Train to Kolding: Still not that bad, but it was stereotypical. FYI: you will need to run if your train car is on the opposite end of the station. We made it, but barely. We were also the only car with a working bathroom...thank everything that is holy. This train lasted about 2.5 hours and we got to meet Lars/Lennie Ann, a wonderful person who definitely made the time fly by.
Brad and I arrived in kolding and walked .8 miles to Matt and Sandra's apartment. After setting everything down we realized we were (I was) starving.
We walked to dinner at the Peking Grill where I was told they had no veggies. Lol. Thus began what is sure to be an adventure in making sure Lindsey eats. The language barrier also proved challenging. After using another customer as an interpreter, we finally settled on some chow mein for me. Brad had duck. Everything settled? Let's pay! Wait...it's not accepting our card? And so we overpaid in Euros.
We needed to make sure our card would work elsewhere, so we went over to Larsen's pub and sports bar. It worked and Brad was much happier with beer in his tummy.
Mind you...it's 9:20pm. It's still light out. Weird.
We got back to the apartment where I took a heavenly shower.
Sleep awaits. Good night.
